Softball Coaches


Head Coach, Emily Good - Coach Good is entering her 13th season as the Head Coach of the Greyhound Softball Program and has compiled a 258-104 record . She served one season as the Freshman Assistant before taking over in 2004. Previous coaching experience includes: Head JV Coach, Terre Haute South Vigo, 1997 - 2000; Varsity Assistant, Terre Haute South Vigo, 2000 - 2001; T.B. Head Coach, 12-U Indiana Terror, Summer 2001 - 2002, 2nd Assistant, Indiana State University, 2001-2002.

          Hamilton County Coach of the Year:  2005, 2006

Coach Good graduated from Indiana State University in 2000 with a B.S. in Health Education and recently completed her Master’s degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in coaching. Emily is a full-time Health and Physical Education teacher at Carmel High School.



 Varsity Assistant Coach, Connie Fiems  

Coach Fiems began her softball coaching career at Carmel High School in 2002 as JV head coach, before joining up with Coach Good on the varsity staff in 2004.  Coach Fiems played her college ball at Indiana State University where she earned all-conference and all-region honors in addition to being named a 3 time Academic All-American.  Her collegiate career culminated in being named ISU Female Athlete of the Decade and selection for the Gateway Conference All-Century Team.   After her playing days, she pursued a Masters in Physical Therapy, and has been in clinical practice for more than 22 years.  Coach Fiems obtained her Doctorate of Health Science in 2015 and is now a full-time Assistant Professor in the Krannert School of Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis.  Coach Fiems is not only an educator but a student of the game, having become a 3 Star Master Coach with the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association.


 Varsity Volunteer Coach, Meg Soultz

The Greyhounds are so lucky to have the opportunity to have Coach Soultz come out and work with our players.  

Meg is one of the most decorated Carmel High School Pitchers in the programs history.  She was in the class of 2006 where she earned 1st Team All-State.  Meg went on to earn a Division III Scholarship at DePauw University and holds nearly all of DePauw's and the SCAC Pitching records as well as several Div. III Career Pitching records.  

Meg currently serves our community as a Carmel Police Officer.


JV Blue Head Coach, Andi Pruner 

 Coach Pruner is entering her 6th season with the Lady Hounds.  She has served one season as the Varsity volunteer and one year as the Freshman Head Coach.  This is Coach Pruners second year at the helm of the JV Team.  She was a former Carmel player under Coach Good and being a Greyhound Alumni she takes pride in continuing on the excellent tradition of Carmel Softball.  Coach Pruner is a 2 Star Masters NFCA coach.  In the off-season she is the Head Coach for the 12U Lady Mustangs out of Roundtripper Sports Academy.  Coach Pruner graduated from Anderson University with a B.S. in Athletic Training and received her teaching license from Indiana Wesleyan in P.E. and Health

JV Gold Head Coach, Joe Stuelpe

 Coach Stuelpe is entering his 3rd season with the Softball program.  He is in his 18th year at Carmel where he has also spent 3 years as the Varsity Assistant in Girls Volleyball, 1 year as the Head Freshman Girls Basketball Coach, and 10 years as the Varsity Girls Basketball Assistant Coach and was on staff for the 2008 State Championship.  He has a BA in Communication from Hanover College and received his teaching certification from Ball State.  His current teaching assignment is AP U.S. Government and U.S. Government.
