    ATTENTION FOOTBALL PLAYERS AND PARENTS....

    It is a policy of the Carmel Clay Schools that no athlete will be permitted to use his/her own safety equipment consisting of helmets and shoulder pads.  The equipment will be issued by the Carmel Clay Schools.

    Callout Meeting Information

    The 8th grade football callout meeting for the 2017 fall season will take place on Tuesday, April 25th from 3:20-3:45.  The meeting will be held in the Bob Weber Gymnasium.  All boys interested in playing football for the 8th grade Clay Middle School team next year should plan to attend this important meeting, regardless of previous football experience. Please make arrangements to be picked up by a parent, or late bus passes will be available at the conclusion of the meeting.

     

    Pre- Season Information/ Practice Schedule

    Football equipment will be passed out on Monday July 31st, 2016 at 8:00 AM behind Clay Middle School (Door #10). Football practice will begin following pad distribution on July 31st and will conclude at 11:00 AM.  Pre-season practices will continue Tuesday August 1st through Friday August 11th from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM. On Monday August 14th, practice will take place from 3:30-5:30 PM and will continue in that time slot for the balance of the season. Practice times will be shortened as the season progresses. 

    Please make certain you have both a 2017-2018 athletic physical form, parent consent form, and emergency medical relase form on file in the atheltic or main office prior to participation. Any student that does not have all three of these forms on file, prior to the July 31st practice, will not be able to participate until all forms have been received.

     All players are strongly encouraged to attend the High School Football Camp. Camp will be held on July 17th- July 20th from 8:30-10:30 at CHS.

    Pads for those wishing to attend the camp will be issued on July 17th from 6:30-8:00 AM at Clay Middle School (Door 7,East Gym). Camp registration form can be found on the CHS Football Website. Please contact Jeff Naas jnaas@ccs.k12.in.us if you have any questions regarding equipment.

    Team Rules and Expectations

    • Academics take priority over football

    • Lack of discipline in the classroom will not be tolerated and will be punished accordingly

    • Treating teammates with respect is more important than individualism

    • Practice is not optional (if a student is going to miss practice, a parent note or e-mail is mandatory)

       

       

    Parent Meeting Information

     A Parent Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 22nd at 5:30 PM in the Auditorium.  During this "Meet the Coach" night,  you will hear about team rules, my coaching philosophy, sportsmanship expectations, practice routines, etc.
