National Junior Honors Society

The National Junior Honor Society is the leader among organizations and societies that promote appropriate recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, citizenship, and service. If chosen as a member of the NJHS, students will be responsible for maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.7, completing community service hours outside of school, and attending required meetings each six weeks.

The Clay Middle School National Junior Honors Society (NJHS) will invite current seventh graders to join its chapter in March. Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.7 from both semesters of sixth grade and the fall semester of grade seven will receive an invitation to apply to NJHS. These qualifying students will receive an informative letter in March outlining the process for application. Only current seventh graders who meet the above criteria at that time will have the opportunity to apply to NJHS. The NJHS application review committee will complete their process in mid-April.
