CLAY CHALLENGE volunteers needed!<o:p></o:p>

This event that will take place on September 14th is run with the generous help of parent volunteers.  We are in need of volunteers to help assemble t-shirts a few days before event (Sept 11th) as well as work on day of event.  It's a fun way to see the kids during school hours -and- a HUGE help to staff!<o:p></o:p><o:p></o:p>




** We are almost at our goal - please help us reach it by this Friday! **<o:p></o:p>

Champions of Clay Annual Fundraiser!  This replaces the door-to-door cookie sales of years past. We are asking for $50 or more per student (or whatever amount you feel comfortable with) and 100% of your donation goes to school programs - every student directly benefits! <o:p></o:p>

You can donate online with PayPal (see PayPal button in upper right corner of PTO webpage, link below), or by turning in check to the front office within envelope marked "Attn: Champions of Clay - PTO".  Thank you for your continued investment in our students, staff and school community!<o:p></o:p><o:p></o:p>

Bookstore has a monthly rotating volunteer schedule, but in case of any openings, the Signup Genius below can be accessed for any remaining shifts!  If you have a couple free hours to spare you can come volunteer at Clay during students' lunch hours.<o:p></o:p>

Tuesday Treats is starting - signs up now open!<o:p></o:p>

All families are invited to treat the Clay staff on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of each month! It can be as simple as clusters of bananas, store bought bakery items, etc. (see examples on sign up link) and can be sent in with your student that morning or dropped off at front desk.  Sign-up on the link below and thank you so much for your participation! After School Study Hall (ASSH) made possible by PTO!<o:p></o:p>

After School Study Hall is a great opportunity, provided by our PTO, which allows students a quiet place to study, have computer access, and get help from certified staff.  If you are interested in learning more, please see attached document.<o:p></o:p>




FREE and EASY way to raise money for our school! By signing up with the following link, Kroger will donate a portion of your shopping trips (when you use your Kroger Rewards card) directly to Clay Middle.<o:p></o:p><o:p></o:p>

It’s time to turn in your Box Tops. Our first deadline is Friday, October 19. You or your student can drop off Box Tops anytime to the front office. No need to cut and tape to a sheet, just put them in a baggie or envelope and look for the bright blue drop off container in the office. Each Box Top clipped earns $.10 for Clay. <o:p></o:p>


MEDIA CENTER:<o:p></o:p>

There are a few open spots for Clay Media volunteers!  All that is required is a background check and the anti-bully video training. Please contact Dianna Balanoff at  if you’re interested or want more information.  Thank you!<o:p></o:p>


CLAY COMMUNITY:<o:p></o:p>

We need your shoes! The 7th Grade Green Team is collecting gently used athletic shoes and cleats. The profits from the shoes will go to the M.O.R.E. Foundation group which helps with sustainable farming in poor African areas. It will also keep your old shoes out of landfills. Please bring us your old running shoes and we will donate them to the club! Donation boxes are located in the 7th grade hallway.<o:p></o:p>


"Smart Living with Your Smart Device" takes place Sept 10-14th @ Carmel Clay Public Library.  Please see attached image for more details.<o:p></o:p>
