8th Grade Cheerleading


Attire:  White t-shirt, white bow, blue shorts, white tennis shoes


Fall try-out dates (Mandatory attendance if you want to be considered for the fall squad)

Clinic--August 7th at Creekside 8:00 - 12:00

Try outs--August 8th Creekside 8:00 - 12:00

Mandatory First Practice--August 9th (for those who make the team--ordering for uniform "essentials" will take place on this day)

IU Cheer Camp Day---August 10th (more information to follow, including location (in town), anticipate 9-4 and cost of $50)

Students will need the following information in order to participate in try outs:

1. A completed CCS/IHSAA Physical Exam form on file in the athletic office before the first day of practice/tryouts. This form is available in the Athletics Office and online under "Required Forms" on the Creekside athletic webpage.

2. An athletic consent form must be electronically submitted via MYCCS and emergency medical information must be up to date BEFORE the first practice/tryout date.

3.  Physical and online Consent forms must be submitted one week prior to your team's start date.

4. Review of the athletic handbook.

I'm looking for girls who are coachable, enthusiastic and willing to work hard as a TEAM! Competitive cheer/dance skills are a plus, but not required.

*Girls should have a pair of running shoes. We will be doing timed runs at the beginning of the season.


AUGUST 21---Special guest speaker from the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleading squad will  be coming in to share her experience and how cheer has given her opportunities in her professional life.
