Cherry Tree Elementary has been serving the community since 1989. It is one of 11 elementary schools in the Carmel Clay School District. Cherry Tree is an “A Rated” school by the Indiana Department of Education and home to more than 700 students, 80 staff members, and an incredible Parent Teacher Organization.

The Cherry Tree community believes in the importance of educating the whole child, focusing on rigorous, engaging learning, and nurturing each child’s social/emotional development. Cherry Tree classrooms are innovative environments where teachers use emerging technology to amplify student learning and prepare students for the future. The Cherry Tree staff believes in the power of collaboration, as our school family works together to help each child experience excellence, explore opportunities, and realize their potential.

At Cherry Tree, students have daily opportunities to nurture their physical development, artistic abilities, and 21st Century skills in one of five 50-minute daily special classes: Art, PE, Music, Media, and STEM. Cherry Tree also supports students growth through offering various extra-curricular activities such as Choir, ORFF, Broadcast Team, and Green Team.
