Book Fair

Each student had the opportunity to purchase books and make wish lists during his or her media center time.

Parents were invited to visit the book fair during extended hours:

   •   Thursday, November 17, 4:00-7:00pm

   •   Monday, November 21, 7:00-9:00am
       during GRAND-Persons' Breakfast!

   •   Tuesday, November 22, 7:00-9:00am
       during GRAND-Persons' Breakfast!

   •   Parents also shopped online anytime during the fair!
Online orders will be delivered by December 9. To keep
gifts from being sent home with your student, please email
       Lori Andrews about delivery.

Through the All for Books program, Scholastic Book Fairs matched your monetary donations with a donation of up to one million dollars in books to organizations such as Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc. and Kids in Need Foundation. The All for Books funds raised by Cherry Tree not only allowed CTE teachers to shop for books for their classrooms, but also put books in the hands of children all over the United States.

To entice a little fun completion, each grade level had a bucket near the front office. Students were encouraged to place their "silver change and dollars" in their bucket and their pennies in other grade levels' buckets. Positive points were awarded for silver coins and dollars while negative points were given for pennies. At the end of the week, the grade level with highest point value got a special treat from Miss Teeple!

A special thank you to our volunteers for the Book Fair, and an extra special thank you to Wendy Sibbitt and Lori Andrews who were the Book Fair Co-Chairs.
