Preparing to Enroll

Thank you for making the choice to attend Carmel Clay Schools. We know you will enjoy the opportunities and excellence of our school district.

To enroll, please use the following steps to guide you through the enrollment process.

1) Determine which school your student will attend by visiting our School Boundary Maps here.

  • If you need assistance, you may contact the appropriate school to verify your address is within their boundaries.

2) Be advised of the book rental and supply fees.

3) A fee-based Before and After School Program is available to elementary school students who elect to participate.  This care is provided by the Carmel Clay Parks Department.

4) Gather the following documents:   

     a) An official birth certificate (not a hospital record).

     b) Photo ID and proof of guardianship/custody paperwork.

Acceptable IDs for parents/guardians: Photo ID if student and parent share same last name. If parent and student do not share same last name, then parent ID showing previous last name shared with the child.

Guardianship/custody paperwork must be a complete copy of the most recent court ordered documentation. 

     c) Proof of residency consisting of: 1. a rental agreement, purchase agreement, closing documents, or deed and 2. a utility (electric and/or gas) statement.  All documentation is subject to verification.   

     d) All students must submit an immunization record prior to your child's first day of school.  Click here to see the requirements.

5) Complete the online registration packet at: https://forms.ccs.k12.in.us/ParentPortal/pages/login.aspx

Carmel Clay Schools participate in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs.  A benefit of these programs is the ability to provide free or reduced-price meals to families who are eligible according to the federal income guidelines. 

The regular price for lunch is $2.45 for elementary students and $2.65 for secondary students. The price for breakfast is $1.35. The price for milk is $0.60. Students may qualify for free meals or for reduced-price meals. Reduced-price is $.40 for lunch and there will be no cost for breakfast.

A new application must be filled out each year for meal benefits to continue. Meal benefits begin when the application has been processed and approved. The online application is an easy and convenient way to apply for meal benefits for your child(ren). Simply enter the requested information as accurately as possible, and all data will be instantly and securely sent for processing.  Start your family's meal benefits sooner by entering your information now!

CCS Food & Nutrition Services strongly encourage families to apply online through EZMealApp.com. This process improves application processing time and accuracy. If applying online is not an option for your family, paper applications will be accepted and are available at all schools and the administration building.  A printable version is accessible on the link below. Only one application per household is needed. 

Once you complete an online or a paper application, you will be notified by mail of your child's status within 10 business days.  Until notification, you are responsible for providing your child with a lunch or lunch money.
