Media Center

Elementary Media Center Goals

The library media program strives to create and support an environment in which all learners become effective users of ideas and information and achieve the standards set by the state of Indiana and Carmel Clay Schools.

The Goals of the Library Media Program are to:

  • cultivate a love of reading,

  • provide a broad range of quality resources to support the curriculum and to support recreational reading interests,

  • teach students to become effective and ethical users of print and electronic information,

  • and to encourage all students to become lifelong learners.

Library Volunteers

We are always looking for volunteers to help work in the media center. No experience is necessary, we will train. Responsibilities include checking books in and out, assiting students/teachers locating books, shelving books, or a myriad of other activities if interested (bulletin boards, birthday book club, YHBA). It takes many volunteers to help the library run smoothly. Thank you in advance for your help!

Background checks are good for five school years and there is a $33.00 fee.

  • If you are renewing your criminal background check, please do not renew early, as the fees are non-refundable.
