Community Meetings Scheduled for Replacement Referendum

A special election will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd, for a resolution to replace the Carmel Clay Schools' current referendum which is scheduled to expire at the end of the year.  The current referendum is an OPERATING referendum, which means it funds people and programs.  It generates roughly $14.5 million annually.  Without it, the school district will be forced to cut at least 260 jobs, as well as academic programs not required for graduation and extracurricular activities.  Dr. Wahl, Superintendent of Schools, will host a series of community meetings at the Carmel Schools where you can learn more about the referendum, what happens if it fails, and the impact it will have on your taxes.  Please consider attending one of these information meetings:

•             Orchard Park Elementary, Monday, April 10th @ 6:30 p.m.
•             Prairie Trace Elementary, Tuesday, April 11th @ 6:30 p.m.
•             Cherry Tree Elementary, Wednesday, April 12th @6:30 p.m.
•             Forest Dale Elementary, Thursday, April 13th @ 6:30 p.m.
•             Carmel Middle School, Monday, April 17th @ 7:00 p.m.
•             West Clay Elementary, Tuesday, April 18th @ 6:00 p.m.
•             College Wood Elementary, Tuesday, April 18th @ 7:00 p.m.
•             Carmel Elementary, Wednesday, April 19th @ 6:30 p.m.
•             Mohawk Trails Elementary, Thursday, April 20th @ 6:30 p.m.
•             Smoky Row Elementary, Wednesday, April 26th @ 6:30 p.m.
•             Towne Meadow Elementary, Thursday, April 27th @ 6:00 p.m.
•             Creekside Middle School, Thursday, April 27th @ 7:30 p.m.

In the meantime, if you have questions about the referendum, you can find answers on the Carmel Clay Schools website, under the referendum tab.

Welcome to our Forest Dale PTO!

All parents of students at Forest Dale are members of our PTO. Many of our parents work together on committees to run events during the year that build community and spirit for our school. Ranging from helping out in our art room to running our Fall Carnival, there are so many ways that parents can help out.
