Come to the School Carnival!

October 20, 2017 6:30pm – 8:30pm Falcon Fest is the annual PTO-sponsored carnival where the classrooms at Forest Dale are turned into game stations, and the entire school has a festival atmosphere. Families can play games, win prizes, and participate in raffles for fun experiences with our Forest Dale teachers and staff. Falcon Fest tickets will be available online from October 9-19, 2017. New this year—if you register online before all slots are filled, tickets are free!

All For Books…Your Loose Change Will Make a Big Difference!

If you have loose coins hiding in your couch cushions, floor mats, or the bottom of your bag, put them to good use! The Forest Dale Book Fair is coming and with it comes the All for Books program. This year’s program will run during the week of October 23rd. We are asking families to donate any amount of loose change. The All for Books donations will be used at the upcoming book fair being held November 13 – 17 to buy books for students at Forest Dale needing assistance. Last year, the generosity of our students and families provided 24 FDE students this opportunity. In addition, Scholastic will match the funds and donate books to a number of children’s charities. Please be on the lookout for a small baggie with information on All for Books attached. This will be sent home with all FDE students on Friday, October 20. Please have your child bring their donation in the bag to their classroom by Friday, October 27. All students making a donation and completing the donation form will automatically be entered in a drawing to win either one of the display Scholastic posters or one of the many items in the lobby display case. Thank you for helping spread the joy of reading at Forest Dale!

·       Forest Dale School Clubs

·       PTO Fun Clubs

·       Other Student Activities

What is an FDE Club? These clubs are held for six-week sessions throughout
the fall and winter. Clubs begin immediately after school and dismiss at 3:45 pm

What is a PTO Fun Club? These clubs are held for four weeks from April 18-May 11. Each club meets on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. It is possible for students to sign up for more than one PTO Fun Club, but parents should just double check that each club meets on
a different day of the week. These clubs begin at 3:10 pm and dismiss at 4:10 pm. Students remain in the gym under supervision of I/As until a club starts.

If you need assistance with club payment please contact your Student Services Coordinator, Mrs. Bassett or Miss Nevins by Monday, Sept. 12th.  Please note that approval for assistance does not guarantee a spot in a particular club, as registration is still required.

Welcome to our Forest Dale PTO!

All parents of students at Forest Dale are members of our PTO. Many of our parents work together on committees to run events during the year that build community and spirit for our school. Ranging from helping out in our art room to running our Fall Falcon Fest, there are so many ways that parents can help out.

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?

If you are interested in finding a way to volunteer with the PTO, please email Beth Russo, our PTO Co-President at fdepto@gmail.com, and she will help you find a good match for your interests & availability.
