Book Clubs

Book Clubs for students in grades K-1, 2-3, and 4-5 are offered in 6-week sessions after school.

  • Students in K-1 listen to fiction and related nonfiction books, then create a craft.
  • In our 2-3 and 4-5 Book Clubs, students listen to a book, discuss a problem faced by a character in that book, then utilize our MakerSpace to build a prototype of something that would solve the character's problem.

Computer Coding Club

Computer Coding Club

Students learn the basics in the curriculum provided by Code.org. In the 2014-15 school year, the club was open to 4th graders. In 2015-16, we have 4th graders working with 5th grade mentors.

Lunch Bunch

Lunch Bunch

Students in grades 2 and 3 are invited to the media center during lunch once each month.  They listen to a read-aloud while eating lunch at tables or on picnic blankets.
