Starting Dec. 4, the Indiana Department of Education is launching a new online system known as the Indiana Parent Network for parents/guardians to receive ISTEP+ results. The Carmel Clay Schools assisted by mailing a very important letter that contains individual access codes to parents of students in to explain how to use this new system.

For parents of elementary and middle school students, this letter was put in the U.S. Mail no later than Dec. 1. The new system is supposed to be ready for use Dec. 4.

Letters with this information was mailed to the parents of freshmen and sophomores at Carmel High Dec. 3.

Parents who have moved and not updated their mailing address with their child’s school will receive their letter after the U.S. Postal Service forwards mail to their new address.

Parents/guardians with problems, questions or concerns should contact the Indiana Parent Network, on or after Dec. 4 and access Frequently Asked Questions. Parents also may receive assistance by calling (800) 481-4769.

Please note that this new system lets parents view student scores for fall, 2008 ISTEP+ testing online using a computer with Internet access. No paper copies of ISTEP+ results will be distributed to parents.

Parents and guardians are asked to get in touch with their child’s teacher, counselor or principal to discuss how the Carmel Clay Schools are working with your child and his or her ISTEP+ results to promote the highest academic performance possible.
