I grew up in Defiance, Ohio where I graduated from Tinora High School. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in English as a New Language. I began my teaching career in Florida, teaching grades Kindergarten, First and Second Grade. After moving to Indiana, I taught Preschool and then came to OPE as an Instructional Assistant working in Second Grade, Kindergarten and First Grade. Last year, I started the year as a kindergarten instructional assistant then switched to teaching third grade covering a maternity leave.
My husband, Ken and I have three boys, Dean at Carmel High School, Quinn at Creekside Middle and Owen at Towne Meadow. We love sports and can usually be found at some sort of sporting event every weekend. I also love to read, do puzzles and do home improvement projects.
