I grew up in Kokomo, Indiana, with a large family of golfers. My dad taught me to play golf when I was about 4 years old, and I have played ever since. After playing golf in high school, I then played golf at the University of Notre Dame. Three of my four siblings also played golf in college! One of my sisters played at Notre Dame as well, and the other two played at Purdue and IU. After graduating with a Marketing degree from Notre Dame, I decided to follow my dream of playing golf professionally. I spent four years playing on several mini tours, including the Duramed Futures Tour (now known as the Symetra Tour), and also qualified to play in the 1995 US Open. I then became a PGA Teaching Professional and spent most of my time teachitwarmel, in Early Childhood, Special Education, Kindergarten, and my favorite, First Grade! This is my 3rd year in first grade, at OPE, and I am so excited to be back again!
I have three boys, Nick, Jake, and Tommy. Nick is a junior at Westfield High School, Jake is a freshman at Carmel High School, and Tommy is in 7th grade at Westfield Middle School. We have three dogs named Sampson, Roxie, and Duke. I am excited to announce that I will be getting married September 8, 2018, to Mr. Mark Dubbels, and will then have three more boys, one girl, and two horses to add to my family!
When I am not at work, or walking my dogs, I am usually watching one of my boys play baseball or lacrosse! I also love spending time outdoors, and enjoy riding bikes, playing golf, riding horses, fishing, kayaking, and taking walks. In addition to outdoor activities, my family enjoys traveling to watch college and professional sports, especially Notre Dame football, Major League Baseball, and Major League Lacrosse!
I am looking forward to a wonderful 2018-2019 school year at Orchard Park Elementary!
