Students may check out when they visit the media center during regularly scheduled class visits or any other time, with the permission of the classroom teacher.
All materials are checked out for a period of two weeks.
Items may be renewed, unless another student has placed a hold.
Items must be brought to the circulation desk for renewal.
Placing a hold
Students may place a hold on an item if it is currently checked out to another student.
Holds may be placed by asking an adult in the media center.
When the item is returned, it is checked out to the student who placed the hold and delivered to the classroom teacher's mailbox.
Students who have overdue items may still check out one book and place the rest of their selections on the Save Shelf in the media center for one day. We want to be sure that students always have something to read.
Items left on the Save Shelf for more than one day will be reshelved.
We do not charge fines for overdue items.
Lost or damaged items
We understand that accidents happen and puppies must chew, but in order to maintain a quality collection, we will charge a replacement cost if an item is lost or damaged beyond repair.
If you pay for a lost book and then find it, we will be happy to issue a full refund.
