Amy has been an RN for over 10 years with a BSN from Indiana University. Her background includes emergency medicine and four years of subbing for the nurses in Carmel schools.

Michelle has a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University. Her background includes Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care. She joined the St. Vincent School Health team a year ago and looks forward to a long career at Prairie Trace.

Please stop in to meet them at Kindergarten Orientation on Thursday, August 10 from 6-7:30 PM or during the Gathering on the Prairie on Monday, August 14 from 2-6 PM. They will be collecting medications, inhalers, Epi pens, Action Plans (authorized by physicians) and immunization records at these events.

Feel free to call them at 317-571-7925, ext 2105 with any questions or concerns regarding your student’s health. Michelle and Amy are looking forward to getting to know the Prairie Trace families and to a healthy school year!  You may also email them at msoucie@ccs.k12.in.us and afletcha@ccs.k12.in.us.

Michelle and Amy are excited to meet all of our students and families while providing an inviting and comforting place for your children when they are in need.

Wash Your Hands

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, keeping hands clean is one of the most important ways to prevent the spread of infection and illness.

When washing hands with soap and water:

1. Wet your hands with warm water.

2. Apply a generous amount of soap.

3. Rub your hands together for 20 seconds.

4. Rinse your hands.

5. Dry your hands with a paper towel.

6. Use the paper towel to turn off the faucet and open the door.

If soap and clean water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub to clean your hands. Alcohol-based hand rubs significantly reduce the number of germs on skin and are fast-acting.

When using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer:

1. Apply product to the palm of one hand.

2. Rub hands together.

3. Rub the product over all surfaces of hands and fingers until hands are dry.

Always wash your hands after using the bathroom, after changing diapers, after cleaning the toilet, after handling anything soiled with stool and before eating and preparing food.
