Nurse

I am Patty Antle, the Prairie Trace Elementary School Nurse.  It is my pleasure to serve this school community.

My job is to support students' educational success by reducing communicable disease, increasing school attendance and providing direct and indirect care and health education.  My main goal is to teach children how to be healthy and how to stay healthy.

Having been a registered nurse for over 30 years, I have a wide range of clinical experience.

My hours are from 7:45 A.M. to 2:45 P.M. when school is in session.  Please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns.  I look forward to working with you.

Wash Your Hands

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, keeping hands clean is one of the most important ways to prevent the spread of infection and illness.

When washing hands with soap and water:

1. Wet your hands with warm water.

2. Apply a generous amount of soap.

3. Rub your hands together for 20 seconds.

4. Rinse your hands.

5. Dry your hands with a paper towel.

6. Use the paper towel to turn off the faucet and open the door.

If soap and clean water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub to clean your hands. Alcohol-based hand rubs significantly reduce the number of germs on skin and are fast-acting.

When using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer:

1. Apply product to the palm of one hand.

2. Rub hands together.

3. Rub the product over all surfaces of hands and fingers until hands are dry.

Always wash your hands after using the bathroom, after changing diapers, after cleaning the toilet, after handling anything soiled with stool and before eating and preparing food.
