Prairie Trace will participate in Walk to School Day on Wednesday, October 5. The elementary school with the most walkers on this day will receive a school trophy. Let's go PTE!

The idea behind Walk to School Day is to have parents and students walk together with a purpose-to promote health, safety, physical activitiy and concern for their environment and support safe routes to school.

Students who walk to school on Oct. 5 will be greeded with a certificate a high five and a smile from Mrs. Hardwick and Mrs. Allen, along with a surprose treat. In the past we have had over 100 walkers. Let's break a record this year with more children walking to school.

Hawk Milers Recess Club

Hawk Milers is our Recess Walking/Running Club. This fun PTO program encourages students to exercise during recess. Parents count the laps and student compete for participation points. You can take part in the fun by helping us count laps and cheer on the kids around the track. Most love this volunteer position because they are short, outdoor shifts and younger siblings can come along. It's also a great way to see your kid(s) in the middle of the day. Please follow this link to sign up. For questions, email the PTO Wellness Team by clicking here.
