child care image

We are excited to offer, CHILD CARE for children ages 1 to pre-k at this year's Carnival!

We hope this allows for some flexibility for parents to volunteer and to enjoy the Carnival with their older children. No child care is available for infants 0-12 months or school age children. Cost is $5 per child per hour. The babysitting rooms will be divided by age and proper adult to child ratios will be kept. One of our PTE moms who is a physician has agreed to be on call at the event for emergencies.

If you sign-up for one of our pre-event set-up or post-event tear-down volunteer spots, free child care will be available for you. Child care reservations and payment must be made in advance (first come, first serve, spaces are limited) by clicking this link: To reserve a free child care spot for event set-up and tear-down for volunteers only, click this link

Donate store-bought or homeade cakes, cookkies, cupcakes and sweet treats to the ever-popular CAKE WALK!

The Cake Walk is similar to musical chairs, where a volunteer draws a number, and the child on that number gets to pick a cake or treat to take home. Please make or purchase any sweet treat, such as a cake, 6 cupcakes, brownies, cookies, etc. (please no fruit pies or anything that requires refrigeration). Please keep serving size in mind; perhaps consider donating two smaller baked goods instead of one. Kroger on Hazel Dell makes special cakes just for Prairie Trace in the days leading up to Carnival, look for their display in the bakery.
