Smart Steps

Smart Steps:  A Body Safety Program for Children is a child sexual abuse prevention and education program that teaches elementary school-aged children their bodies belong to them, they have the right to say “NO!” to touches to their private parts for “no good reason or just to play a game”, and to tell an adult about any touches that make them uncomfortable.  The program will be presented to Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grade students at Smoky Row on October 30. Each presentation is given in individual classrooms and will last approximately 30 minutes.  Although not required, each child's attendance in the program is strongly recommended.
