About Me

Mrs. Larson is a fourth grade teacher at Woodbrook Elementary.  She grew up on a dairy farm south of Muncie, Indiana.  She graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Elementary Education.  She received her Master's in Library and Information Science from Ball State University.  She has taught three years in Decatur Township and one year in Washington Township before she had children.  This will be Mrs. Larson's fifteenth year at Woodbrook, after teaching the 2/3 Gifted and Talented Class for five years and third grade for nine years, and fourth grade for one year.

She has three children.  Matthew, their son, graduated from Purdue and lives in Houston, Texas with his wife, Lauren.  Her middle child, Beth, will be completing her final year of graduate school for her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis , and her youngest daughter, Julie, will be starting her first year of graduate school for her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at the University of Indianapolis.  Mrs. Larson enjoys walking, reading, gardening and spending time with her family whenever she has a free moment.
