Physical Activity - lots of fun through sports, activities and movement!
Personal Fitness Plans - each student will learn health and fitness components and create personal fitness plans throughout the year.
Team Building - every student in the class is considered part of the team. We will learn how to encourage, work with and build up those teammates around us.
Sportsmanship - Choose Your Attitude Each Day!
Health - We will be in the health classroom 2 weeks 1st quarter, 3 weeks 2nd and 3rd quarter and 2 weeks 4th quarter. This will be a part of your child's wellness grade. Please refer to the monthly calendar and weekly assignments for specific dates and assignments.
Heart Rate Monitors - every Tuesday your child will learn about frequency, intensity, time and type of exercise through the use of a polar watch. They will understand target heart rate zone among other terms, which will give them better knowledge and understanding as they create personal fitness plans. This will be worth 10 points each week.
