This is year 23 at Forest Dale Elementary. It’s hard to believe how quickly the years have seemed to passed. Each new class brings elements of excitement, challenge, and joy.
I grew up in Cincinnati and love to visit my parents and sister’s family, who still live there, when I can. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in English from DePauw University where I met my wife, Laura. I received my Elementary Teaching Certification from Xavier University and my Masters in Education from Anderson.
My wife, Laura, teaches Environmental Science in Lawrence Township. My daughter, Emma, is a senior at Fishers High School, while Harrison, my son, is a sophomore. There is also a Shetland Sheepdog, Kipper, that roams the rooms and yards of our home in Fishers. His adopted sister's name is Brindy, a Jack Russel/Boston Terrier mix.
I find it necessary to run, which I actually don’t enjoy all that much. I love music and listen to a wide range which could include The Avett Brothers, Jimmy Buffett, or Toots Hibbert, among many others, depending on the day, time, or accompanying activity. I started taking lessons on the guitar, my first instrument ever! Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?
