I am a proud Butler University alumnus with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Middle School Science Endorsement. My interest in technology was a driving force that resulted in my completion of the Indiana University Masters in Educational Technology program.
Currently I am in my fifteenth + year as a master educator and my eighth year in the Carmel Clay School District. My teaching experience includes 2nd through 8th grade, instructing gifted and talented as well as mixed classes and remediation. I believe children will aspire to the level that they are taught and challenging students to be their best is what I continually strive to do.
Through data analysis and conversation with students a new development of ownership for learning takes place. My diverse background and variety of leadership roles within school systems has enabled me to view education with an unique approach. I am aware of the needs of each child from the structure within the curriculum to the social development. It is with great commitment and dedication to the educational process that I have strived to excel at all the leadership positions in which I have served. But more importantly to enable the students to excel in their education.
My pride and joy is my family. I am married to a wonderful man who loves to listen to music, watch movies, and play with our beautiful children. He’s also a fantastic cook! We have three children who love to travel. We are often found outside walking around the block or riding our bikes.
