Mrs. Carnahan graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Art Education. At Ball State she specialized in Painting as well as her educational studies. While at Ball State Mrs. Carnahan worked in the Muncie community teaching art for an after-school program and she was an athlete for the Ball State Women's Swimming and Diving team.
Mrs. Carnahan started working at Prairie Trace Elementary in January of 2012. She enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends when she is not at school. She loves to read, paint, and craft at home, including making recycled art decorations.
Mrs. Carnahan believes that every child is an artist. They just need opportunities to be creative and given lots of positive encouragement. She believes that art is an essential part of learning and a great way to express our human experience and emotions. She loves working with young artists and boosting their creativity through exploration of media and art history.
