I was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and moved to Rochester, Minnesota as a young child. I received my Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, in 1979 and earned my Master of Science degree in Audiology and Speech Science from Purdue University in 1981. I have maintained my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) since 1981. I am licensed as a speech language pathologist in the state of Indiana.
After completing my graduate degree, my husband and I lived in Wisconsin and then California before returning to Indiana. We moved to Carmel in 1991 and both my children are Smoky Row alumni.
I have worked with the Carmel Clay Schools Early Childhood program as a Speech Language Pathologist at Smoky Row Elementary since 2004. I have provided speech and language therapy services to children ages birth to 5 years since approximately 1995. In addition to providing services in the public school setting, I have also worked with young children in hospitals, private clinics, and the home setting. I love working with young children and their families!
