Welcome! I am one of the resource teachers at Clay Middle School. I grew up as a middle child of three in Highland, Indiana (A.K.A. Da Region). In the spring of 2002, I received a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education – Learning Disabilities from Butler University. After graduation, I taught in Brownsburg at Brown Elementary as a LD Resource Teacher for one semester. The following summer, I moved to New Hampshire with my husband Séamus. For the next three years, I taught at Woodland Heights Elementary School as a special education teacher in Laconia, NH (The Lakes Region). During the summer of 2006, my husband took a job with a law firm in Fishers and we moved back to Indiana. In 2006 I began teaching resource at Forest Dale Elementary, and in the fall of 2010 I moved to Clay Middle School.
In June 2010, I completed a Masters of Science in Special Education from IUPUI, and in 2011, I completed the Director of Exceptional Needs Licensing Program at IU Bloomington.
When it comes to sports spectating, I enjoy cheering on the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks, and Chicago Cubs. I am a huge Butler Bulldog fan and also enjoy cheering on the Wabash Little Giants (my hubby's alma mater) and IU Hoosiers basketball. I also enjoy gardening, reading, and spending time with family. We welcomed our 2nd daughter last spring, and it has been fun watching the girls grow and play.
