Welcome to the 3rd Quarter!

The weather has already thrown a wrench into our normal schedule since we lost a Blue Day.  Our team will probably try to make up the lost time by shortening White Day classes one day and inserting Blue Day classes for Blocks 5 & 6.  We will let students know for sure, but this may happen Thursday, January 18.

Following each vocabulary worksheet within a week will be a vocabulary quiz over those same words.  Students are responsible for those words and their definitions--and the spelling of the vocabulary terms themselves.  All vocabulary quizzes are announced and posted at least 3 days in advance.

My general policy is NO RETAKES for vocabulary quizzes.  Since students know the exact words that will be quizzed, there should be no surprises on these quizzes, and students know well in advance exactly when these quizzes will be taken in class.

Read pages 272-279 in the textbook.

NOTE:  Blue Day classes need to study for vocabulary quiz on Friday!

Thursday & Friday, January 18 & 19, 2018.

 Assignment pending!

1)  Students are to properly head a fresh sheet of lined paper, and use the title Egypt ?

2)  Students are to come up with three things they would like to know more about concerning ancient (not modern) Egypt, and to write a simple explanation of why they would like to know more about this.  I do NOT need a paragraph--a sentence will work just fine!
