The course traces the development of world history from the Age of Exploration to the present. Throughout the semester, we will witness the evolution of the world’s political and social structures, wars and revolutions, conditions of everyday life, technological growth, artistic movements, changing religious ideas, the lifestyles of men and women, and the experiences of the rich and the poor.
This course will be a lot of work and a rewarding experience for you. There will be a variety of small and large projects, and you will be required to work in groups and on an individual basis. Homework assignments and reading will be given on a daily basis, and your success in the course rests heavily upon your desire and ability to complete work outside of class.
Here you will find the reading assignments, test dates, and other daily information important to the course.
