Hello, I am Justin Kay and I am a 2000 graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Social Studies. I am also a 2010 graduate of Ball State University with a Masters Degree in Educational Administration. This will be my 16th year in education and my second at Forest Dale. I spent my first three years teaching in the Chicago Public Schools and my first eleven in Carmel were spent teaching fourth and fifth grade at Smoky Row Elementary. This year, I return to academic coaching as I will be coaching FDE's Math Bowl team!
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife of 14 years, Erin, who is an assistant principal in Zionsville, our 8 year old son Jack, and our two dogs. When not at school I enjoy running, camping, carpentry, spending time with my family and friends, and watching Chicago and Indiana University sporting events.
I look forward to working with you and your child this year. We have many exciting experiences that we will share together. Here's to a great 2016-2017 School Year!
