I spent the first part of my life growing up in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. In 1992, my parents and I moved to Hamilton County, and since then, I have lived in the surrounding area. I attended DePauw University, and graduated with a degree in Communications, focusing on journalism, and a minor in Spanish. After working for a year and feeling unsatisfied with my career choice, I decided to go back to school to obtain my teaching license through Ball State University. This is my tenth year of teaching, having spent all of those years at College Wood Elementary. I completed my Masters in 2008, obtained my endorsement for teaching Gifted and Talented students, and I am currently working on obtaining my Doctorate with a focus in research and High Ability education. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time running, reading, watching football, listening to music, spending time with my husband, and playing with our three dogs, Roscoe and Remington, both Weimaraners, and Truman, a Vizsla. I am very excited to share the classroom with you this year, to work alongside your family, and to get to know you better...we are going to have a great year!
