**Individual Visits for new students have now been scheduled.  As background:  Greyhound Connections (GC) gets a list from the Counseling Department that lists all students in grades 10-12 who are new to CHS.  The Presidents of GC then assign those new students to a specific member of GC.  The GC member will then visit their assigned students individually during SRT throughout the year.  GC members can go out more often if their student needs more assistance and new students are always welcome to come to E219 on either Blue or Gold Days; during any period.

Dates that have been scheduled for visits and the topics are:

*Week of August 22:  general info-introduce themselves; explain GC and what it does; tell where GC is housed; get to know the student.

*Week of September 19:  talk about Homecoming; encourage students to participate in Spirit Days; encourage students to attend the Trike Races/Playhouse building; explain Friday's class schedule; and talk about the Homecoming Dance.

*Week of November 14:  General check-up-make sure classes are going well and that the student is acclimating.

*Week of December 5:  Final exams-make sure students understand the class schedule and offer tips for preparation.

*Week of March 6:  General check-up-make sure the students are progressing ok

*Week of May 15:  Final exam and book return procedures as well as a general wrap-up

**On Wednesday, September 28, GC will be hosting a New Student breakfast.  Any student in grades 10-12 new to CHS this school year is invited to E219 at 7:30 for breakfast and a chance to meet other new students.

**These are all listed as "week of..." to give GC members the ability to work around other obligations they may have during SRT.  Visits will be completed at some point during this week but not all on the same day or at the same time.
