Hi! My name is Kristen Murer! I grew up on the south side of Indianapolis. I attended Indiana University and earned my Bachelor's Degree there...go Hoosiers! I also received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from IUPUI.
This is my seventeenth year teaching! I am doing what I absolutely love! This is my thirteenth year teaching First Grade at Towne Meadow. Before teaching in Carmel I taught for four years in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio.
At Towne Meadow I have been a part of many committees and groups. I have served on the social committee, health and wellness committee, and the school improvement committee. I am also very proud of the fact that Mrs. Stacy Campbell and I wrote the words to the Towne Meadow school song in 2010 at the request of Mr. Andy Himelick. It makes me very proud to know that Towne Meadow students for many years to come will learn and sing the words that I helped to create!
My husband, Josh, and I have two wonderful boys! Ethan is ten years old and attends Fourth Grade at Towne Meadow. His younger brother, Eli, is seven years old and is a Second Grader at Towne Meadow. Luckily, I am not the only female in the Murer household...we also have a dog, Bella. We live in Carmel and enjoy game night, movie night, and just generally being together. A fun factoid, I lived in Paris, France for a year after college! Tres magnifique!
