I am a native of Indiana and after college I married my high school sweetheart, Michael. Soon after Mike and I were married we moved to the state of Missouri, and we built many great memories during the three years living in Kansas City and fourteen years in St. Louis. Although Mike and I loved our adventure in the Show Me State, we moved back to Indiana fifteen years ago.
Mike and I have three incredible children who mean the world to us, and the last several months have been filled with much excitement and new beginnings. Our youngest child, Cameron, graduated from Indiana University in May, married his sweetheart in June, and began his new career with Alanco in July. Our daughter, Jaclyn graduated from Indiana University in December, started her career as an Event Coordinator Director, and plans to marry the love of her life in September. Needless to say, there are many changes and exciting events in the Cruz family. Our oldest child, Tyler, is currently working as a PTA and continuing his education at IUPUI.
Teaching has always been my passion! I've loved working with children and couldn't imagine myself in another career. I graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and minor in Learning Disabilities.
I'm thrilled to be teaching third grade for my twelth year at West Clay! I have been teaching in the Carmel Clay School District for seventeen years and thoroughly enjoy working with my students. During my free time, I love reading and doing many outdoor activities such as riding bikes & hiking with my family and friends.
I look forward to another wonderful year in third grade!!
