I grew up in Carmel, attended Orchard Park Elementary School, and Carmel Junior High School. After graduating from Carmel High School I went to Purdue University and earned my BS degree in management and marketing. After graduation I was a bank manager for 4 years and quickly decided that banking was not my passion. I returned to college at IUPUI and received my teaching certification. After teaching for several years I returned to college and received my MS from Ball State University. This if my 25th year of teaching, all in the Carmel Clay School system. I began my teaching career at Clay Junior High where I spent 18 years teaching science. I also coached volleyball, softball, and basketball during my tenure at Clay. When Creekside opened its doors I saw it as an opportunity to be involved in a new and exciting change and challenge. I have not been disappointed. Creekside is truly a wonderful place to teach and everyday we strive to do what is best for kids.
Outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family who all live in the Carmel area, playing with my 2 dogs Charlie and Piper, gardening, working in my yard, and reading. I'm looking forward to another exciting year of teaching at "the Creek".
