My name is Mrs. Shannon McClintock and I live in Carmel, Indiana. My family includes my husband, Mark, and our two boys. Hunter is a sophomore at Carmel High School, and Myles is an eighth grader at Clay Middle School. We also have two mixed breed dogs, Stori and Jake.
I grew up on the north side of Indianapolis and graduated from North Central High School. I went on to get my teaching degree from Ball State University. Carmel schools have always been familiar to me, as my parents have taught in Carmel since I was a preschooler. My mom and dad are both retired teachers. I also have a sister, Stephanie Borlik, who teaches at Carmel Elementary. School and teaching has always been an important part of my life.
I started my teaching career at Smoky Row Elementary in Carmel and taught fourth and fifth grade there for 11 years. I then moved to Forest Dale in 2006 and have taught fifth grade and third grade. I am looking forward to working with a new group of third graders this year!
In my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening, photography and scrap booking. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. We enjoy spending afternoons hiking in the park with our dogs, or working on fun projects around the house.
