Morning came fast! Today we head to Samos, the birthplace of Pythagoras. We have been surprised at how far away from each other the Greek Islands are. The ferry from Athens to Paros was 2.5 hours. Today we left Paros and took another ferry to Mykonos. That ferry ride was about an hour. From Mykonos we switched ferries. Our final ferry ride from Mykonos to Samos was 6 hours long. We’ve been told that you can see Turkey from Samos! Before leaving for Samos we got to spend the afternoon in Mykonos. It was the cutest island town yet. Just like on Paros the town was labyrinth of white stucco buildings. Without help (or a trail of breadcrumbs) it is unlikely a visitor would find their way out. We especially enjoyed dessert at a little shop in the middle of the maze. It felt like we were sitting in someone’s house enjoying a treat while watching the World Cup. After that we picked up a few souvenirs and headed to the new ferry.
