Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship

WBE seeks to help the community - students, staff, and parents - experience excellence by providing an inclusive atmosphere, a specific scope and sequence of the Digital Citizenship curriculum from Common Sense Media embedded in instructional practices, and opportunities for all community members to realize their potential in an ever changing world.  All members of WBE will demonstrate positive digital citizenship by being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe with their technology and the choices they make online/offline.

At Woodbrook Elementary, students are regularly engaged in digital citizenship instruction and discussions in our computer lab, media center lessons, and extended learning opportunities in the classroom.  Parents can be involved, too.  Common Sense Media provides numerous resources for families and schools, including a full curriculum for grades K-12 to help students learn about digital citizenship as well as discussions, activities, and resources for parents to help keep their kids safe online.
