Elementary school students are not old enough to drive, work, vote or be the boss. But that doesn't stop them from operating banks, managing restaurants, writing checks, and voting for mayor at JA BizTown! The program combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to this fully-interactive simulated town facility. The program helps students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world.
The 5Th grade students went through interviews for potential BizTown jobs last week with the help of parent volunteers. The kids were well prepared and took the interviews very seriously. Positions, determined by teachers, will be posted on Friday 11/17.
In the following weeks kids will learn about their jobs and prepare for our day at BizTown on Friday December 8Th. We will need many parent volunteers to come on this field trip and help with the BizTwon experience. It is an all day event.
Please contact Sara Orahood for more information and if you would like to come.
